PRINCE2 Foundation tests understanding of the PRINCE2 method — no prior project management experience required. Widely used in the UK, EU, Australia, and India.

Choose an ATO
Exam must be taken via a PeopleCert-Accredited Training Organization (ATO). Self-study + exam-only voucher is also possible via PeopleCert directly.

Study the official manual
"Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2" (PeopleCert / Axelos publication) is the prescribed text. Cover the 7 principles, 7 themes, and 7 processes.

Schedule the online exam
60 questions in 60 minutes, multiple-choice. Pass mark 55% (33/60). Online proctored or classroom.

Renew every 3 years (PeopleCert)
Foundation no longer expires under PeopleCert Plus subscription; otherwise renewal is via Continuing Professional Development credits.
